The Infomart on Stemmons Freeway is one of the most recognized data center buildings in North America. Opened in 1985 as a permanent technology trade center, it evolved into a carrier hotel where dozens of networks interconnect under one roof. ServerPoint has operated from this Equinix-managed facility since 2015, deploying Linux and Windows virtual servers on hardware we own outright.

Geography is the key advantage. Dallas sits roughly equidistant from Los Angeles and New York, producing network round-trip times that are almost symmetrical to both coasts. If your customer base spans the continental US, a Dallas VPS eliminates the latency penalty that either coast imposes on the opposite side.

When ServerPoint expanded into Texas in 2015, the Infomart was the obvious choice. No other building in the region concentrates as many carrier interconnections in a single structure. Equinix took over management of the facility and invested heavily in power and cooling upgrades, but the building's core advantage remains unchanged: it is a neutral meeting point where competing networks exchange traffic freely.

ServerPoint ships its own servers to this facility and manages them directly. We do not sublease space from another hosting provider. This means we control firmware versions, BIOS settings, and storage configuration at the hardware level, resulting in a VPS that performs consistently because nothing sits between our software and the bare metal.

The location also opens a corridor to Latin American markets. Traffic from Dallas reaches Mexico City, Bogota, and Panama with fewer hops than routes originating on either US coast. For businesses targeting both domestic and Latin American audiences, this is a meaningful routing advantage. Like all of our data center locations, connectivity here is fully redundant.
