The AMS-IX exchange alone handles over 10 Tbps at peak, and the density of submarine cable landings in the Netherlands makes it the point where transatlantic and intra-European routes converge. ServerPoint placed its European infrastructure at a Digital Realty (formerly Interxion) campus near Schiphol Airport to sit at the center of this fabric.

From this facility, your Linux or Windows virtual server reaches London in under 8ms, Frankfurt in roughly 7ms, and Paris in about 10ms. Scandinavian capitals, Zurich, Warsaw, and Madrid all fall within a 20ms envelope. For any application targeting a pan-European audience, no single location covers more ground.

ServerPoint deploys both high-frequency Xeon Gold and Xeon E5 processors at this site. All data is stored on our standard Ceph distributed SSD platform with triple replication. We purchased, racked, and cabled every piece of hardware ourselves. Nothing is leased from a third party.

The Digital Realty campus at Cessnalaan in Schiphol-Rijk occupies a strategic position in the Randstad, the urban corridor that connects Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. This region contains the highest concentration of network interconnections in Europe outside of London, and ServerPoint has operated here since 2016.

We chose this campus because it provides direct cross-connects to carriers that would otherwise require traffic to leave the building and traverse city fiber. This reduces the number of network hops between your VPS and the broader European Internet, translating to measurably lower latency for end users across the continent.

For businesses operating under GDPR, hosting in the Netherlands places data squarely within EU jurisdiction.
